RJCF -- Support IDF Soldiers Fund

Wounded Soldier
This Fund was created to support the IDF soldiers who exhibit extraordinary bravery and risking their lives to protect the people of Israel, the country that they and we love.

While saving others, some soldiers lost their lives in this fight, and we are continuing grieving about them. A number of other soldiers have been severely injured, lost their limbs, maimed, and now are starting a long and excruciating rehabilitation process.

Scholarship to the IDF combat soldiers
This Fund provides the scholarship to the IDF combat soldiers through the Friends Of IDF Impact program. RJCF joined this program in 2006 in cooperation with the Zionist House, which matches "a dollar for dollar" the RJCF's contribution to this program. It means that every dollar donated by you to this program is matched by Zionist House.

Thanks to your support, 6 former IDF soldiers were able to get a higher education. We continue supporting three more former soldiers who will graduate in the next 2-3 years.

Oksana Karimov, IDF Soldier The Friends of IDF Impact program provides scholarship to the former IDF combat soldiers who cannot afford it.
"Thank you very much for all the help! It makes me optimistic to know that there are people like you, who are willing to help in such a tremendous way" (from the letter of the former IDF soldier Oksana Karimov to the RJCF).

Supporting the Lone Soldiers in IDF from the Greater Boston Area
Lone soldiers are American youth who volunteered to serve in the IDF.

Currently (in 2015), we have 3 Russian Jewish soldiers from the Greater Boston Area serving in the IDF combat units. Occasionally, we raise funds to purchase a better than standard issued non-military gear for these soldiers' units (40 soldiers in each unit), such as boots, backpacks, moisture wicking shirts & shorts. This better quality gear makes a life and death difference when combat soldiers train or fulfills their dangerous assignments.
