Dr. Pinchas Polonsky

Dr. Polonsky Dr. Pinchas Polonsky, a professor of Bar Ilan University in Israel, leads a weekly program about Judaism, Jewish History and Jewish Tradition on Boston-based radio station 1470 AM every Monday at 7:40 am.

Dr.Polonsky is often seen on Israeli TV. He participated in various radio programs in Israel and USA. He published several books. Dr.Polonsky is an exceptional lecturer and educator. He is a Chief Editor at Machanaim Russian Jewish Educational Network, Israel.

Machanaim educators are Russian-speaking Jews who grew up in atheist totalitarian society of the former USSR and came to learn about Judaism and Israel as adults. They understand the background of our fellow Russian-speaking Jews and the unique challenges of their return to our Jewish heritage. Most Russian-speaking Jews demonstrate very little knowledge and observance of Judaism, but a relatively high level of general education and intellectual development as well as a strong connection to Israel. Therefore, Machanaim builds educational programs that correct their weaknesses -- the lack of Jewish education and observance -- by capitalizing on their strengths: intellectual curiosity and connection to Israel.
