July'08 update
| Letter from Rinat (רינת אלון) Hello Masha, How are you? Over here the weather is hot and the preparations for the camp are going into high gear...Last week Natasha, Sveta and I had a very nice (although wearying) day driving to the north to check the camp site- "YAAR LAVI". We were worried about so many things but as soon as we got there we felt like it`s a wonderful place, and very suitable for our needs. The staff over there was so welcoming and helpful, and the facilities are in a really good shape. I`m attaching a file with some pictures and explanations for you. This week will be dedicated to closing all the technical details - usually a very difficult work but it seem as if everybody i turn to is really supportive and does it`s best to help us. I just got a phone-call saying that one small town near our camp is inviting us to use their swimming pool! So thing are going really well for now. ![]() Natasha and Sveta had a wonderful idea regarding the staff-preparation. They suggested that it will take place in one of the Kibbutzes near Sderot- this way we will get to support the settlements that are finacially hurt by the bombing, but still stay out of the "Danger Zone". I hope that by the end of this week we will know where would the staff-preparation take place. On Thursday, 31/7 we will drive to the north to check the camp site and spend the weekend over there. If you have any remarks or ideas regarding those four days before the camp starts, i would be happy to hear. ![]() I`m attaching this link- I hope it will work- it`s a map that shows where Yaar Lavi is, in case you wondered... (I hope it will work!)Click here to see the camp on the Google map Keep in touch, -- Rinat | |
